I know it's discouraging, but sometimes a setback means you can't take an easy day or two and be back where you were the week before. You may be pushed back a few weeks. Even a few months.

So dial back. Maybe even way back, as depressing as it seems. Go easy for a while. And LEARN from the setback, so as not to repeat it. :)Richardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03960907174716515553noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9142068982446715373.post-24665135239608482772012-07-14T12:06:38.469-07:002012-07-14T12:06:38.469-07:00Hello Richard,

It was very helpful and in a few days I felt so much better. The problem was that being a so called "perfectionist" I got carried away with that, trying to improve all the time. The day after I felt worse which was quite disheartening.

How did you deal with setbacks? What do you recommend to do when you are suddenly feeling worse and even simple exercise hurts?

I have a few more questions I would love to ask you but I don't want to make this post too long.

I also wanted to add that I felt walking without shoes for short periods of time was helpful for me, maybe that could be helpful for others as well.

Thanks,
OmerOmernoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9142068982446715373.post-35493524659919768082012-07-09T05:31:21.248-07:002012-07-09T05:31:21.248-07:00Just read it - thanks! Here's a blog post where I talk more about it: http://bit.ly/NwXLwh

Easy cycling is good, as Erik appears to have discovered! :)Richardhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03960907174716515553noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9142068982446715373.post-68704619780253288032012-07-07T02:58:54.958-07:002012-07-07T02:58:54.958-07:00Sorry, I'm guessing Theresa is the other popul...Sorry, I'm guessing Theresa is the other popular commenter on this blog as of late, and has already read the book. He's referring to growing cartilage by putting the knee/joint thru the correct and very controlled exercise/environment.

After reading his book I've began lightly riding my bike 9 miles round trip to work and back daily for the past few months. I've noticed a huge improvement in my cartilage injured knee, and am becoming a believer.

Thx, -ErikAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9142068982446715373.post-21823317303034026482012-07-03T20:49:14.371-07:002012-07-03T20:49:14.371-07:00Hi Richard,
